I live on the second story of an old 1940s house and this has been a life saver as the weather heats up. It cools my room perfectly and I™™m so pleased with it. It was easy to install and looks nice.

This is a very efficient little air conditioner that cools my bedroom without a problem, an immediate big plus as I™™ve been through some things trying to find an air conditioner that actually COOLS. (Looking at you, HomeLabs.) This unit was also a snap to install, although that brings me to my first little niggle: because it™™s small it doesn™™t overhang the inside window sill like a larger AC, which meant I couldn™™t center the unit and also remove the air filter™"which slides out from the side™"for cleaning. The window frame prevented it. I had to install the unit nearly flush to the opposite side of the window frame to create enough room to take out and reinstall the filter. If your window isn™™t recessed as much as mine this may not be an issue.My other small complaint is the unit makes random high-pitched whines and whistles while the compressor is running. Usually the compressor is so quiet I™™m not even sure it™™s on, but occasionally it gets a little rowdy. It™™s not awful but I notice it. Oh well, I™™m finally getting a good night™™s sleep again, and at an affordable price, and that™™s what matters! Overall I™™m quite happy.

I bought my unit last July, ran it off and on for about 3 months before pulling it for the season. I made sure it was drained and dry before putting it away in its own plastic container. Pulled it out of the storage closet yesterday and tested it. The unit powers up but the fan does not move the air at all no matter the setting. Very disappointing. Hopefully the extended warranty plan will cover it. It worked great last summer, nice little window unit until now.

I purchased this air conditioner since it had been reviewed as extremely quiet (for a window air conditioner) & efficient. It has definitely lived up to its favorable reviews. In fact, it cools the small room where it has been installed so quickly & thoroughly that I turn it off within minutes & open the windows.

I got it a Lowe's. I installed it in the wall of the shed I just built it's 10x10x8. I put it on Low 5 & it works great.I wasn't sure it was big enough but it works great. Thank you!!

The AC worked perfectly except for the Freeon smell. I sent it back to get changed and they sent me a replacement. Although the mew one is much better there is still a Freeon smell in my office whenever it is turned on.

This is a great window unit at a great price if you have a small room that needs to be cooled. The few settings actually give you lots of temperature variability. My room faces a busy street and the sound of the AC masks traffic and is even soothing. I bought a more expensive model a few years ago that never seems to adequately cool down the apartment, but this little guy does the job and even sometimes I need to turn out down because the room gets too chilly! My only complaint is that the directions for installation were complicated and the window bracket provided was not compatible with my window which has a concrete and steel frame that couldn™™t be screwed into, even with a very powerful drill. These types of frames are common in NYC, so be sure to check your window and see if you™™ll be able to screw holes into it before purchasing a bracket. I ended up having to create my own system for supporting the back of the AC that could work with what I had.

The family needed a small a/c unit to combat the heat in Northern CA, and this unit delivered. It came with all of the necessary hardware to mount, with the exception of a sheet of plywood that I cut down in order to mount the unit in a horizontal-sliding vinyl window frame (a vertically-sliding frame would not need plywood). This unit works well for the space that we are in. I'm completely happy with my purchase!

I am very pleased with Frigidaire™™s window AC unit design. I purchased one for each bedroom over the summer because I was tired of spending so much money on the central air conditioning unit. Two of the units are 5000 BTU and the other two are 6000 BTU. I am pleasantly surprised at how both cool down the areas and I™™ve saved $600 on my bi-monthly electric bill in comparison to this time last year when I was running the central air conditioning unit. I™™m sure the next bill will reflect the same savings. California is hot approximately 4-5 months out of the year. The cost of this purchase has already been compensated with the savings just in a matter of months. Thank you Frigidaire!

Like most window a/c 's it's a little noisy when compressor kicks on. Nice color, easy to install. Works well in our 200 s.f. bedroom with southern exposure and mid-day sun. We use it just for sleeping. Cools room pretty quickly.

I have a few issues. 1.the unit is too loud for my bedroom 2. when put on low cool it just blows moist air and I wake up in a cool sweat. 3. the side panels don't adjust to fit correctly in my window. I should have returned the unit and purchased a more expensive quiter unit with more options.

Made it to replace the old AC in order to ensure comfort of recovering family member post surgery. This does the trick so well they have to turn it down at night because they get very cold. I've only given it four stars because I've only had it for less than 2 months so I would like to give room for any errors that may occur. That said the warranty plan was reasonably priced and if that does occur, we'll be covered.
